Enjoy dining al fresco at Hamilton’s patios

Ahh, patio season. Now that we’re halfway through the summer months, you’ve probably zeroed in on your favourite outdoor dining spots. There sure are plenty to choose from in Hamilton! From the relaxing vantage points one can only find at Baranga’s on the Beach to the luxurious cabanas at Sarcoa Restaurant and Bar, dining al fresco has never been better. If you’re looking to expand your outdoor dining options, check out these cute and comfortable patios before the umbrellas go into storage for another season. 

 

Drawing in foodies from near and far, Jack & Lois has become a fixture on James Street North in the past four years. The menu features all-day breakfast, wraps, burgers, fancy grilled cheese sandwiches and craft beer seven day a week. You would never guess from the street view, but Jack & Lois offers diners an adorable patio at the restaurant’s rear, a cozy little oasis in the heart of downtown. 

 

Located just down the street at 151 James Street South, Radius offers a pretty, 200–seat, multi-level patio that is hopping all summer long. The restaurant/café is housed in a beautifully restored historic building at the corner of James Street South and Augusta Street and features an eclectic menu highlighting some of the area’s finest meats, cheeses, breads and vegetables. 

 

Filled with plenty of greenery and rich, wrought iron furniture, the quaint patio at The Aberdeen is the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch or special occasion dinner. They offer an extensive wine list and an amazing weekend brunch menu. Check them out at 432 Aberdeen Ave. 

 

For tasty food, a fun atmosphere and a spacious patio under shady trees, visit Collin’s Brewhouse in downtown Dundas. For more than 100 years, Collin’s has been providing high quality food and excellent service to patrons. They offer 12 beers on tap, including their own Brewhouse Red and Lager, an extensive wine list and a variety of unique and refreshing cocktails. Collins Brewhouse is located at 33 King Street West.
