The annual Heritage Days event returns to Hamilton!
One of Ancaster’s most popular annual events returns this month! Heritage Days are set to take place June 6 – 11 with a variety of fabulous events for the whole family!
The festivities kick off on Tuesday, June 6 with the family-friendly Ancaster Mill Road Race. There will be a 1K Kids Fun Run and a 5K and 10K run with same day registration and kit pick up offered. The starting line of this hilly route is at the Robert E. Wade Ancaster Community Park. Visit http://ancastermillrace.com to register online.
On June 8 and 9, throw on your jammies and bring the whole family down to Fieldcote Memorial Park for two free Family Movie Nights! ‘Sing’ will be shown on June 8 and ‘Pete’s Dragon’ on June 9. Bring your own chairs, blankets and snacks.
On Saturday, June 10, one of the festival’s most popular events will begin at 10 a.m. The 37th annual Ancaster Heritage Days Parade will begin at Wilson Street and Academy Street and end at Todd Street. Brian Wood of CH News will once again be the parade commentator.
Wilson Street will transform into a street festival from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. Highlights include a sidewalk sale, KidsWorld, food trucks, live music, Teen Scene, events under the Marquee Tent, Soapbox Derby, Heritage Exhibits, Handmade Market and much more!
